His recent production is called “Matteric music”: It is a concept which
makes a big break with, and it is very far from any musical idea which
has been proposed to classify. Matteric music vindicates sound in all
potentialities; it reclaims expressiveness of sound “per se”,
regardless of it forms a rhythm, melody, harmonic block or part about a
concept of tenseness or macrostructure. It develops its intrinsic
qualities as pure matter to the fullest, making use of two basic tools:
the isolation of some sounds with regard to others, and giving power to
its accentuation, to the greatest possible extent, masking its origin,
until the listener can´t decide it, so as giving himself direct access
to pure internal sonic structure. The subject matter will therefore
manage to captivate us with its enormous communicative force”, in words
of Carlos Galán. Concept that “which allows him to take his first
strides into the new century with originality and merit” - L. Hontañón
- . Reflecting the great interest which get up this revolutionary
language is the most of twenty conferences he has given about this new
vital music around the world (Spain, Italy, Brazil, Argentina,
Bulgaria, Germany...). Last activities: Tours through America (91, 98,
01 & 04).
